~Locating Places On A Map~
In this lesson we will be using the following: family pictures.
In this lesson the children will be learning about the difference between short/tall and big/small as well as long/short.
At the start of the lesson the children will sing the song "I Love You, You Love Me"
At the start of the lesson the children may not be able to recognize their aunts, uncles, and grandparents as part of the family.
As the lesson continues the children may recognize their aunts, uncles, and grandparents as part of the family but not as a blended family.
At the end of the lesson the children will be able to recognize their aunts, uncles, and grandparents as not only apart of their family but also as apart of their blended family.

During the lesson the children will discuss some of the roles that are in a family. (Strategy #1)
As the lesson continues the children will not only discuss some of the roles that are in their family but also their families traditions. (Strategy #2)
By the end of the lesson the children will be able to discuss the roles of a family as well as family traditions. (Strategy #3)

As the lesson comes to a close the children will be given a three minute warning. The teacher will place a bin in the center of the table for the children to put away their materials. The children will then move to the next station by pretending to be a "Mommy" or "Daddy".
In the next station the children will discuss what they like most about their family.
